You can use the trims and keep the plane from taxiing and trim the rudder etc. I'd be really grateful if an owner of the product could let me know if the Realflight controller will do the job. Now with Mac OS 10.14 Mojave, I have loaded Aerofly 7 and it works well with the old GameCommander controller. Nonetheless, its a critical purchasing decision to know if your existing hardware is going to work. I suppose they don't want to plug their competitors products and instead squeeze out as much as possible through the sale of adapters.
